Yost, Others Join EBN!

We’re very excited to announce that Peter Yost of the NAHB Research Center will be joining our staff as research director and senior editor of

Environmental Building News. In addition to contributing to

EBN’s content, Peter will share responsibility for many of our research, writing, and consulting services. A former high-school science teacher, technical climbing instructor, and builder/remodeler, he earned his Master’s Degree in Resource Economics from the University of New Hampshire in 1993. While at UNH he established a pilot recycling program for drywall with Domtar Gypsum. He joined the NAHB Research Center in 1993, most recently serving as Director of Resource and Environmental Analysis. Peter will join the

EBN staff at the beginning of April.

In other staffing news, Rod Francis has been hired to replace Dwight Holmes as our products editor. An Australian native, Rod has a Ph.D. in economic geography with a research background in urban and industrial development issues. He also brings a good working knowledge of buildings and environmental issues. Rod comes on board at the end of March.

Also, Deb Fajans has joined the company as sales manager. Deb worked with us last year in recruiting product manufacturers to participate in our

GreenSpec Binder, and she will continue with that project now as a staff member. She will also be responsible for other marketing and outreach tasks.

Finally, if you’ve called the office recently, you may have encountered our new automated receptionist. To avoid listening to menus of options, you may use the following extensions to reach each of us directly:
