Haymount to Break Ground this Month

Initial construction work will focus on infrastructure, including roads and an innovative ecological wastewater treatment system, along with a market and inn/restaurant. The first phase of home construction, which includes 400 houses and 80,000–120,000 ft2 (7,000 - 11,000 m2) of commercial space is expected to begin in the first quarter of 1997.

At final build-out, Haymount is projected to include 4,000 housing units in various combinations of multifamily, single-family, and apartments; 250,000 ft2 (23,000 m2) of retail space; and 500,000 ft2 (46,000 m2) of office/commercial space.
