Natural Talent Design Competition Winners Announced

Built to Learn, by the winning team from
Washington D.C., where the competition called for teams to create a prototype for temporary classrooms that would address environmental and health issues as well as creating fun learning spaces. The team included Casey Frazier, Matthew Hogan, Sean Wheeler, and Amy Vetal.

Experience Soundview, from the
New York City team that won the competition to design a LEED®-Platinum building for the Soundview Park Nature Center in the Bronx. Team members were Kevin Morin and Dianna Pozdniakov.

Sustainable Design Accessible to All, by the winning team from
North Carolina, which designed a prototype for affordable housing to be built by the local chapter of Habitat For Humanity International. The team included Frank Giordano, Andrew Darab, K.C. Kurtz, Eric Jabaley, and Susan Ungerleider.
The 2007 competition will follow a similar model, focusing on local design competitions, and will open for registration in December 2006. More information is available online at www.usgbc.org/egb/.
