Reader-to-Reader Help
All GreenSpec® product and Environmental Building News article pages display Reader-to-Reader comments, if any exist. Comment titles are listed at the bottom of those pages, with the most recent comments appearing first. Click on any comment title to read the full text of that comment. There is also a link to "view all comments" which will display the full text of all comments in that discussion, again listed with the newest comments first.
These comments are posted by subscribers of the BuildingGreen Suite and information contained within has not been verified by the staff of BuildingGreen, LLC The editorial staff reserves the right to remove any comment that is deemed inappropriate, off-topic, or overly self-promotional. If you object to the content of a particular comment, please bring it to our attention using the "send BG feedback" link in the footer of that page.
Posting comments
In order to post comments you must be logged in to a qualifying BuildingGreen Suite account. One-week, trial, and site-license accounts are not permitted to post comments.
To post a comment, click the "Add a comment" link in the Reader-to-Reader comments section of the relevant page. There is no distinction between starting a new "thread" and replying to an existing comment; your comment will appear at the top of the list of comments on that page. The "Add a comment" form requires a subject, which is a brief (5-10 word) summary of your comment, and the message. Comments are limited to 4,000 characters (several paragraphs), and HTML formatting is not permitted. If you realize that there is a significant error in a comment you have already posted, contact us using the "send BG feedback" link the footer and we will remove it.
Tracking a discussion
If you want to receive an email notification whenever a new comment is posted to a particular discussion, click the "track this discussion" link at the bottom. Alternately, if you are posting a comment, you can check the "track this discussion" checkbox on the "add a comment" form. You must be logged in to your BuildingGreen Suite account to start tracking a discussion. You will continue to receive notice of new comments as long as your account is in good standing.
To stop receiving these notification emails, you must "stop tracking" the discussion. There is a link in every notification email to stop tracking that discussion, and a link at the bottom of every discussion you are tracking to "stop tracking this discussion." When adding a comment to a discussion that you are already subscribed to, you can check the "stop tracking this discussion" checkbox on the form. Note that you must be logged in to stop tracking the discussion, and you must stop tracking each discussion separately.
