Sun-Dome Tubular Skylights
Daylighting Technologies, Inc.
Daylighting Technologies produces 10", 13", and 21" tubular skylights with aluminum flashing and high-impact Lexan polycarbonate domes for both residential and commercial applications. The domes are large-missile impact-tested and Dade County hurricane-approved. The adjustable tubes provide up to 97% reflectivity, according to the company. Daylighting Technologies also provides lighting retrofit systems with fluorescent bulbs, electronic dimmable ballasts, and light sensors to provide constant light levels in all applications. Installations may be eligible for tax credits, according to the manufacturer. The dome and tube have 10- and 25-year warranties, respectively.

Tru-Lite Tubular Skylights
Tru-Lite Skylights, Inc.
Tru-Lite Tubular Skylights® are available in 12" and 16" diameters to illuminate up to 500 ft2. The dome is 1/4" acrylic and the tube features a silver sputter lining that reflects 98% of available light, according to the manufacturer. No structural modifications or roof curbing are needed. The tube can be raised above the roof plane to improve low-angle daylight collection.

ODL Tubular Skylights
ODL Tubular Skylights
ODL, Inc.

ODL Tubular Skylights
ODL, Inc.
ODL manufactures tubular skylights in 10" and 14" diameters. The dome is either UV-resistant, non-yellowing acrylic or polycarbonate (in the Severe Weather Kit). The light tube is coated with a highly reflective, atomically bonded, mirror-finish reflective film and comes with a dual lens glass prismatic light diffuser at the ceiling to improve light spread. The outer glass lens spreads light and eliminates hot spots, while the inner lens reduces solar heat gain and eliminates condensation in colder climates. The product is designed for either contractor or DIY installations. ODL offers the option of an electric light kit, which may reduce light output by approximately 2-3% (when the pipe is straight), according to the manufacturer.

Tubular Skylight
Tubular Skylight, Inc.
Tubular Skylight, Inc. manufactures tubular skylights designed to illuminate residential and commercial spaces using daylight that is captured through a UV-stable acrylic dome and travels through a highly-reflective aluminum tube. Light is then evenly dispersed through a translucent acrylic diffuser lens, providing light that offers better color rendering than typical fluorescent lighting used in offices, schools, retail spaces, workshops and warehouses. 8", 13", and 21" models are available and all come with a 10-year limited warranty.

The Sun-Tek Tube® is a tubular skylight available in 10"-, 14"-, and 21"-diameter sizes. The dome has a polycarbonate inner layer and an acrylic outer layer. The tube is lined with Alanod Miro, which is a .020-inches thick aluminum that reflects 95% of available light. The company also manufactures a curb-mount tube and a multi-tubed skylight, the Spyder, that can illuminate multiple locations with only a single opening in the roof. An electric light kit, which can be installed inside the tube, is available. The Sun-Tek Tube comes with a 10-year warranty against excessive yellowing and loss of light transmission.

HUVCO Tubular Skylights
HUVCO, Daylighting Solutions
HUVCO High Performance Tubular Skylights (HPTS) use a high-impact acrylic dome fused to an aluminum mounting ring, a highly-reflective tube, and a prismatic diffuser to bring daylight into interior spaces. These units come in five diameter sizes: 10", 13", 18", 21" and 24", with a maximum pipe length of 20 feet. Optional components include aluminum flashing for tile roofs, bathroom exhaust fan kits, elbows for 30-degree turns, and electric light kits for nighttime use. Maximum light output for the 10" unit is 4,320 lumens under ideal conditions using a 4-foot tube, according to the manufacturer. Twelve-foot tubes provide up to 2,674 lumens under the same conditions. HUVCO offers a lifetime warranty.

Sun Tunnel Tubular Skylights
Velux
The Sun Tunnel provides daylighting through a number of configurations, including one which offers a flexible tube (most other tubular skylights offer only elbows to make slight bends). Domes are available in standard acrylic or high-impact polycarbonate for hurricane-prone areas. Double diffusion panes produce even light distribution and reduce the likelihood of condensation. According to the manufacturer, there is no appreciable heat gain or loss with the Sun Tunnel. It is available in 10", 14" and 22" diameters and carries a 10-year “No Leak” warranty. These tubular skylights were formerly manufactured by Sun Tunnel Skylights, Inc.
