Hebel Southeast Renamed Matrix Precast Autoclaved Aerated Concrete

, the first large-volume producer of autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) materials in the U.S., has new owners and a new name. The company, now known as

Matrix Precast Autoclaved Aerated Concrete L.P., is owned by Charlotte, North Carolina-based J. A. Jones, Inc., a provider of construction services worldwide. J. A. Jones, in turn, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Philipp Holzmann AG, a large construction company based in Frankfurt, Germany. Hebel Southeast had been owned by Hebel USA, Hebel Holding Co., and F. J. Munter GmbH & Co. The European parent companies have reportedly decided to focus their efforts on the European market. Matrix intends to proceed with Hebel’s plans for expanding to a second manufacturing location somewhere in the Southwestern U.S., according to J. A. Jones spokesperson Ann McGough.
